Built by the ultra talented and late Master Luthier, Gerard Melancon. This is a rare & gorgeous Melancon Cajun Gentleman, Serial # 1586, in Honeyburst. Collector kept in a non smoking and properly humidified evironment. I acquired this instrument from a player 2 years ago, The instrument is in overall Excellent Condition, Neck pocket is clear with no finish cracks, The Flamed Maple Top is beautiful with no wear or signs of use. The back of the body has a few small dimples and scratches but no bare wood is exposed, The back of the neck is perfect with zero imperfections. The lower bout has one ding/scratch, and I have updated the enclosed pics with a photo of it outlined in yellow, it is about 1/4" long and cannot be seen when playing the instrument. The upper bout has one very small dimple, photographed and is outlined in yellow, it is approximately 1/8" in length, but has no bare wood exposed on this. Of course none of these minor imperfections affect the playability of this wonderful example of a Cajun Gentleman. The guitar features flawless Stainless Steel frets offering buttery string bends and the Tv Jones pickups sound heavenly on this instrument.
